Macy's Woman's Event hosted by Emme!

With plus super-model Emme

Hi Diva,
So... a few weeks ago, I was tapped to model in the Macy's Woman's event hosted by plus super-model Emme in Atlanta, GA! I've decided to get a bit more serious about modeling and have even signed on with an agent here in Atlanta!

 

Since becoming involved in pageantry, a host of opportunities have surfaced and I thank God for each and every single blessing!

I was hesitant about about modeling because I was told many years ago that I was "too puffy" to be a model. Those words stuck to me like glue, and for a long time stifled me and had me second guessing my abilities. But honey, it's a new day! Plus models are everywhere and that's because they are representative of a great majority of today's consumers. 

 
My last client even told me that I had "the perfect body"! Really...me the perfect body? Those are words I never thought I'd hear from an industry professional!

Rocking an Ashley Stewart Color Block Jumpsuit from a few seasons ago. I hope to do print work with them someday!

 I've come to embrace all of me, just as I am! I've also learned to stop limiting myself...and allowing others to limit me as well.

What I love most about eShakti is the customization factor. They allow you to customize your neckline, your sleeve style and length and you can even shorten or length the hemline! I chose to shorten the hem line on my dress to give it a fun, flirty spring look!

OOTD: eShakti Dress Review

Hey Diva,

Have you heard about eShakti? They are an international custom clothing design company that caters to women size 0 – 36! How amazing is that? When eShakti contacted me about reviewing a dress from their line, I was super excited!  I visited the website and saw so many options…it was hard to choose! What I like most is that they customize…so you can pick out your FAVE style and change the length, remove the sleeves or alter the neckline. In essence, you become the designer and how cool is that!

I finally settled on this purple coat style dress with black trim. The construction and quality are amazing… and I would know!  Before life as a Spoiled Diva, I worked in the corporate arena as a technical designer for major brands including Reebok and Victoria's Secret so I know a thing or two about garment construction and quality…and eShakti has mastered both!

 

I paired my dress with thigh high leather boots, black fingerless gloves and silver accessories including these Spoiled Diva by CL Felder Disco Ball Chain-link earrings and BAM...instant Diva'ttude!
