Hey Diva,

Let me tell you about this exciting new competition by Ashley Stewart called Finding Ashley Stewart 2017. The team over at Ashley Stewart has traveled across the United States during the past several months in search of a Diva that effortlessly personifies Ashley Stewart in mind, body and soul!

I am thrilled to announce that I was selected as a semi-finalist during their visit to Atlanta and now I have a chance to compete in the grand finale in New York City on September 16, 2017! I just need your votes to get me there. Click here to vote!

Voting for the top 5 finalist starts today and will continue until August 23, 2017. Over the course of the next week, I'll be sharing more details about the Finding Ashley Stewart contest and sharing my journey to the semi-finals. I am still overwhelming excited about that!

Ashley Stewart Presents The #LoveYourCurvesTour in Atlanta!

Hey Diva,

I had a total blast at the Ashley Stewart model casting in Atlanta this past week! The model call took place at the store in the Camp Creek district of Atlanta and was part of Ashley Stewart's “love your curves tour”.

The tour featured other cool fashionable events presented by Ashley Stewart including a Sip and Shop Girls Night Out where attendees were treated to light refreshments, giveaways, special prizes and much more!

 

 The tour culminated with a fashion show where some of the city’s HAUTEST models graced the runway! 

 

The Atlanta leg of the tour was hosted by Atlanta blogger Marie of The Curvy Fashionista and brought out many of Atlanta’s curvy cuties...I can’t wait until the next one!

Macy's Woman's Event hosted by Emme!

With plus super-model Emme

Hi Diva,
So... a few weeks ago, I was tapped to model in the Macy's Woman's event hosted by plus super-model Emme in Atlanta, GA! I've decided to get a bit more serious about modeling and have even signed on with an agent here in Atlanta!

 

Since becoming involved in pageantry, a host of opportunities have surfaced and I thank God for each and every single blessing!

I was hesitant about about modeling because I was told many years ago that I was "too puffy" to be a model. Those words stuck to me like glue, and for a long time stifled me and had me second guessing my abilities. But honey, it's a new day! Plus models are everywhere and that's because they are representative of a great majority of today's consumers. 

 
My last client even told me that I had "the perfect body"! Really...me the perfect body? Those are words I never thought I'd hear from an industry professional!

Rocking an Ashley Stewart Color Block Jumpsuit from a few seasons ago. I hope to do print work with them someday!

 I've come to embrace all of me, just as I am! I've also learned to stop limiting myself...and allowing others to limit me as well.

Hey Diva,
I  fell head over heels in love with this black and white color block jumpsuit by Ashley Stewart the moment I saw it!  And what's not to love? It has all of my fave design elements from the sweetheart neckline and trendy color block detailing to the curve hugging fit and super sexy drop waist peplum accent.

Now that we are experiencing chilly temperatures, I think a super cute faux fur capelet would make for an awesome addition to this jumpsuit. What do you think?

OOTD: Easy like Sunday morning!

Happy Sunday Diva!

Hope you are making the most of your day! As I started getting ready for Sunday morning worship service, thoughts of my grandma Rose came to mind. She was my everything…so warm and kind and super stylish all at the same time! Today’s outfit was definitely inspired by her. 

The dress actually belonged to my Aunt Ida, my grandmother’s youngest sister. Aunt Ida turned 85 years old last week and every time I visit her, I have the best time reminiscing about the “olden days” and hearing stories about my grandma Rose. When I visited Auntie’s house earlier this past week, I decided to plunder her closet (after 85 years of living, you know she has some good stuff tucked away). I found a few pieces of treasure including this dress. I can’t wait to show her my interpretation!

In case you didn't know, I enjoy mixing colors and prints, after all who’s says everything has to match? I chose to wear leopard print pumps with my dress today. I love animal prints and it’s likely you will ALWAYS see me in something with animal print!
