Prestige Pageantry Awards

Hi Diva
So...I was recently nominated for a Prestige Pageantry Award and I am just tickled pink! I never knew such an award showcase even existed. I entered into the world of pageantry for a little bit of self discovery and to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone I encountered during the course of my journey.

The Prestige Pageantry Awards is a one of a kind affair that recognizes, celebrates and honors individuals and businesses who have made a significant impact in pageantry. I never expected to be awarded for simply serving my community and being a good steward of the blessings that God has given me. It is an honor to serve and I do it as humble as I know how.

But nonetheless, I have been nominated and I would appreciate your votes. Voting is simple, just click HERE and "LIKE" my photo. That's it! Pretty in Lace!

Spoiled Diva by CL Felder - Crochet Lace Separates

Hey Diva,
I’m feeling very pretty in this two piece lace crop top and peplum skirt by Spoiled Diva by CL Felder! I wore it to the delegate meet and greet for a pageant earlier this summer. This was my second time competing in the pageant and this year, I represented my Midwestern roots as Ms. Kansas. Kansas is known as the sunflower state so what better way to represent than in sunny, sunflower yellow!

Besides, it’s one of my favorite colors and I love the way it complements my skin tone.This two piece skirt set features a long sleeve crop top and peplum pencil skirt. The skirt has a center back zipper and both the top and bottom are lined with a matching jersey knit!

So...a few days ago I attended a reception in honor of the delegates of a pageant system and I arrived in a dress by none other than...wait for it...Spoiled Diva by CL Felder!

I did not intend on adding this dress to the collection, I just wanted something special for myself however, since sharing photo's, I've received so many inquiries.

We will not be adding this style to the Spoiled Diva by CL Felder collection HOWEVER we will certainly honor custom order requests so just give us a shout!

My year as Ms. Georgia Plus America 2013 - MBN Global Beauti Expo

Hey Diva,
So...a few weeks ago, I had the honor of hosting the My Beauti Network Global Beauti Expo at the Twelve Hotel in Atlanta, GA!

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon but that didn't stop the show. My gown of choice was a beautiful, ice blue velour sequined gown by my friend Linda Bezuidenhout. I just love the way this dress hugs my curves and the color is to die for!

I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed hosting. But I must be honest... I never knew just how much work went into hosting an entire event! Sure it looks all fabulous and fun, but it can be an exhausting job. After all, you are talking non-stop the whole time and are responsible for making sure the show runs smooth and on time!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed each and every moment of the spotlight (like a true Spoiled Diva) but just in case you thought it was easy and that anyone could do it, I am here to tell you it isn't so!
 

Over the course of the afternoon, guests enjoyed live music, vendors and a mini artist showcase  by renowned Persian artist Ghazelah Coulter! Her paintings are truly amazing and inspirational to say the least.

Guests also were inspired by a panel of speakers who shared their knowledge on a number of topics from health and fitness to finance and money management.

 

The afternoon ended with a fashion showcase by designers Linda Bezuidenhout,  House of Van Miller and jewelry artist Baba Giyahmiee.

I had a blast and I hope that more hosting opportunities are in my near future! Big smooches to Paul Biagui Photography for the beautiful images.

OOTD: Holiday 2013

Pantsuit - designed by me constructed by Joe's Custom Clothier, Faux Fur Capelet - Macy's

Hey Diva,
I had a blast last weekend at the Celebs Give Back Toy Drive presented by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. My outfit of choice...this black and red pantsuit with coordinating full length train.

Some of you may recognize it as the pantsuit I wore in the 2013 Miss Plus America competition this past summer. I designed the pantsuit myself and had it made by my good friend and custom tailor, Joe Hinton of Joe's Custom Clothier!  Click here to revisit that post!

This time, I accented it with this sweet Leopard print capelet that I purchased at Macy's. I don't know about you, but I love the way the whole look came together...very regal!
