Fun with Layers

Hey Diva,
Well...winter is on it's way out and soon it will be time to pack away the furs, turtlenecks and sweater dresses. But before I do, I wanted to play around with some layering. This look was inspired by my favorite style blogger of the moment, Soraya from the UK!

I paired a leather trim pencil skirt by Spoiled Diva (available online soon in multiple colors) with a thrifted men's button down dress shirt. I layered it with my fave find of the season...a Birger Christensen fur coat belted at the waist with a  faux leather and bronze metal bar belt.

The addition of my guys socks and a pair of animal print peep-toe pumps finishes off everything and adds a bit of quirkiness. My friend, Rita calls it "Bag Lady" tease...I simply call it FAB and FUN!

OOTD: Holiday 2013

Pantsuit - designed by me constructed by Joe's Custom Clothier, Faux Fur Capelet - Macy's

Hey Diva,
I had a blast last weekend at the Celebs Give Back Toy Drive presented by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. My outfit of choice...this black and red pantsuit with coordinating full length train.

Some of you may recognize it as the pantsuit I wore in the 2013 Miss Plus America competition this past summer. I designed the pantsuit myself and had it made by my good friend and custom tailor, Joe Hinton of Joe's Custom Clothier!  Click here to revisit that post!

This time, I accented it with this sweet Leopard print capelet that I purchased at Macy's. I don't know about you, but I love the way the whole look came together...very regal!

Fab Find - Bandolino Loafers

Anyone who knows the Spoiled Diva already knows I love my heels! Without them, I don't feel as HAUTE…and the higher the heel, the better. But I also realize that every Diva must have a super cute pair of flats in her collection.  For me, it’s these adorable animal print and patent leather Bandolino loafers!

I will be real with you… I walked into Macy’s ready to purchase another pair of sexy stilettos. However, these cuties caught my eye and I knew I had to have them.  After all, I can still be a Diva in a pair of flats, right?
